Office of Innovative Projects

Clinton County RESA, Office of Innovative Projects, is implement four initiatives on behalf of the Michigan Department of Education.  As a result of participation in competitive bid processes, CCRESA received fund awarded by the Michigan State Board of Education through the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.

The primary purpose of Early On® Training and Technical Assistance (EOT&TA) is to assist service areas in complying with the federal regulations and state policy related to Early On® Michigan.  EOT&TA provides support, information, and training related to Early On processes, child development, developmental assessment of infants and toddlers, early intervention strategies, and state and national initiatives.

The Early On® Center for Higher Education is Michigan’s pre-service initiative to support the development of highly qualified early intervention personnel to work with infants and toddlers, birth to three with disabilities and/or special needs, and their families. The Early On Center works with faculty at 2-year and 4-year colleges and universities to strengthen learning experiences for students so they are knowledgeable of Early On® Michigan and competent in their future work with families of infants and toddlers.

Early On® Public Awareness and Project Find provide statewide outreach to families and professionals so that children and youth who may be eligible for Early On or Special Education know that services are available.  This activity assists Michigan in meeting State Performance Plan targets for the identification of eligible children and students.  Promotion of Early On informs the general public by stating “If you suspect your infant or toddler has a delay in development, Don’t Worry, but Don’t Wait.  Call 1-800-EarlyOn.
